If you’re an avid thrifter or garage-sale-hopper then you know the importance of having a buddy with you to make your shopping trip more successful. If you’re thinking of taking your first trip to the thrift store than a highly recommend getting a thrift buddy. Your thrift buddy should be someone who knows you well and someone you know equally as well, respect their opinion, work well with, and is as enthusiastic as you are about finding deals. For me my thrift buddy is my mom. If you’re lucky enough to have your own mother as your buddy then you know what an asset you have. My mother is never afraid to tell me the truth about something, but in a way that makes me listen, she keeps me on track, and gets just as excited when we strike thrifting gold. I’d like to think I offer her the same qualities.

When my mom and I are out looking for clothing items we utilize each other by separating to cover more ground, offering each other our opinions to make wise decisions, and utilizing overall teamwork to make the process as easy-going as possible.
Who is your thrift buddy and how do you two help each other out? What other ways does your thrift buddy help you out?
Thank you for stopping by, and happy thrifting to you.

So It’s no secret that I LOVE thrift store shopping. Most times I go with an idea in mind of what I’m looking for, but every so often I stumble upon something that fits my style and home decor needs. Not everything I find needs to be completely gutted or re-purposed. This sandcastle was in great condition, but it needed a little personal touch.

Hello fellow crafting wizards. I’m back with a really easy project. This DIY takes no prior experience what-so-ever just a love of crafting. I’m currently obsessed with mixing metals in my home decorating, and needed a way to transform some silver picture frames for my bathroom. Now, I’m sure you’re wondering what sort of pictures would I need to hang in the bathroom, but I assure you it’s all in good fun.

That’s right, pictures of Chris and I during our potty training days. Just a little encouragement for any guests that come over, and need to use the BR. I got this idea from the amazing Pinterest of course. I like to bring humor to decorating. Who doesn’t like a little toilet humor from time to time? I think the poor quality of the pictures against the antique technique plays well with one another don’t you?

You can see that Chris was very happy with himself. The instructions were so easy to do, even for the couch, that there were no arguments between the two of us from frustration. That’s how easy Ikea makes it. If you still don’t believe me go through the online instruction site by clicking
